My Review:
I picked up Fairy Tale by Cyn Balog on a mere whim. I don’t know what possessed me to buy this book and read it, but picking it up was the right choice for me.

Morgan and Cam are perfect for each other in every way. Morgan believes this so much. However, things change between her and Cam when his cousin Pip comes into town. Morgan is shocked to hear the truth: Cam is a fairy. Switched at birth by fairies, Cam must go back and take the Fairy throne. Morgan refuses to lose Cam to fairies and both vow to trick the fairies to keep Cam by her side. As days pass, Cam’s physical appearance starts to change. Morgan rethinks whether it’s best for Cam to stay or go or if their love can even survive the changes. 



This is probably the first book I ever read that had anything to do with fairies at all. So I cannot judge if this a good fairy book or not. However, the main focus is between Morgan and Cam and his transformation as a fairy rather than the world Cam is to live in.

Cyn Balog made the story addicting, dark and very enjoyable. I loved Morgan. She was so determined to keep Cam even through his physical changes. She kept a good front at being strong even though I knew she was dying inside from the mere thought of parting with Cam. I thought Cam was an excellent boyfriend, although I did feel sorry for him. After all, it’s his world that’s being turned upside down; not Morgan’s. And Pip was cute and quirky. A good counterpart for Cam and Morgan’s strong personality. 



This book is not quite as long as some books I’ve read; making it a quick, fast-pace read. Balog’s writing style is incredible. She makes this book very easy to read and she allows you to get sucked into the story on the first page. Reading the transformation between Cam and Pip was amazing and very descriptive. I liked that both boys had an intense, strong chemistry with Morgan. But my favorite will be Cam. Their love for each other is so cute and very powerful. It completely reminded me of my relationship with my boyfriend. I felt Morgan’s pain of losing Cam. I can relate to her. Morgan’s scared of losing Cam. They’ve been together for a long time and the future without seems impossible to imagine.

It’s the ending that makes this book a 5 star book for me. That ending was so painful to read, I had tears streaming down my face. Cyn Balog has successfully touched my heart with this story, ripped it out, tore to shreds leaving me weeping for hours after finishing the book. I thought the ending was left open, possible for a sequel that we may or may not see. It’s bittersweet, but boy does Balog end with a punch to the heart. I love this book and always will.
