Waiting on Wednesday #25

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill @ Breaking the Spine where you share an upcoming release that you're anticipating on reading.
 Freeing Carter by Nyrae Dawn
Expected Publication: Summer 2012

From Goodreads:
His whole life Carter’s fought to hold it together: To help Mom run their store. To be there for his special needs sister, Sara, and be the perfect boyfriend Mel wants. To dominate on the basketball court—the only place he ever feels free. And to carry Mom up the stairs when she’s too smashed to make it on her own.

It isn't like she has a problem. Mom loves them. If she doesn't drink every day, she's not really an alcoholic, right?

Wrong.

Then Kira Dawson, a girl with a bipolar wardrobe and rotating hairstyles comes to town. Somehow, she sees the truths he hides from the world. “You have skeletons, too, Carter Shaw. Don’t think I don’t know it.” For the first time, he wants someone to see his inner scars—to really know him.

When his mom finally goes too far, will Carter be able to man-up, even if it means turning his back on her and stepping out from behind the façade he’s fought so hard to keep in place?

Mind Games by Kiersten White
Expected Publication: February 19, 2013

From Goodreads:
Fia was born with flawless instincts. Her first impulse, her gut feeling, is always exactly right. Her sister, Annie, is blind to the world around her—except when her mind is gripped by strange visions of the future.

Trapped in a school that uses girls with extraordinary powers as tools for corporate espionage, Annie and Fia are forced to choose over and over between using their abilities in twisted, unthinkable ways…or risking each other’s lives by refusing to obey.

In a stunning departure from her New York Times bestselling Paranormalcy trilogy, Kiersten White delivers a slick, edgy, heartstoppingly intense psychological thriller about two sisters determined to protect each other—no matter the cost.
Why I'm waiting?

If you've been following me on Twitter I have been raving about Nyrae Dawn's What A Boy Wants and What A Boy Needs so when I found out she was coming out with a new book: Freeing Carter I knew I just have to read it. No question. I think every book Nyrae Dawn writes will be a must-read for me.

Kiersten White is one of my top favorite authors, probably the very top. I absolutely LOVE Paranormalcy, Supernaturally and though I'm just not ready to read Endlessly, I'm sure I will love it. She continues to blow me away and every time I reread her books, I just fly through them! So of course I'm dying for Mind Games or any Kiersten White book for that matter.

What are you waiting on?
