PLUS..

I went to my local indie bookstore, Mysterious Galaxy, yesterday to celebrate its 19th Birthday and guess who was there?! Brodi Ashton (author or Everneath) and Bree Despain (author of the Dark Divine trilogy)!! They talked a little about themselves, then about each other, took some questions and read an excerpt from their books and then there was a book signing afterwards! It was so awesome because both Brodi and Bree recognized/remembered me from twitter and we got to chat and take pictures. It was so so so fun. I LOVE meeting authors. It's the best experience, ever. <3 :)

Fun Facts:
-Did you know that Bree Despain titled Brodi Ashton's Everneath? It's true!
-Everneath was originally called Broken then Underneath before becoming Everneath!
-Brodi says that Bree gets pretty cranky when she doesn't eat meat! lol!
-The beginning scenes of Everneath was based off of Brodi's friend.
-Bree and Brodi met and became friends when attending the WRONG party. lol
-The Dark Divine book was intended as a stand alone! *gasp*
-Bree helped Brodi build up what the "Everneath" is like for Everbound!
-The "I Remember note" scene in Everneath always makes Brodi's face turn red ;)
-Bree is open for a fourth book in the Dark Divine trilogy if her pub asks, but for her.. it's finished.

Brodi Ashton and Bree Despain :)

The Pledge by Kimberly Derting Swag Giveaway!

Kimberly Derting's The Pledge released today!
You guys don't know how excited I am for this book! If only B&N would ship my copy already.  Nevertheless, here is a summary about the book:

In the violent country of Ludania, the classes are strictly divided by the language they speak. The smallest transgression, like looking a member of a higher class in the eye while they are speaking their native tongue, results in immediate execution. Seventeen-year-old Charlaina has always been able to understand the languages of all classes, and she's spent her life trying to hide her secret. The only place she can really be free is the drug-fueled underground clubs where people go to shake off the oppressive rules of the world they live in. It's there that she meets a beautiful and mysterious boy named Max who speaks a language she's never heard before . . . and her secret is almost exposed.
Charlie is intensely attracted to Max, even though she can't be sure where his real loyalties lie. As the emergency drills give way to real crisis and the violence escalates, it becomes clear that Charlie is the key to something much bigger: her country's only chance for freedom from the terrible power of a deadly regime.* (from Goodreads*)

Sounds awesome right? If you loved The Body Finder and Desires of the Dead as much as I did, please pick up The Pledge.
